Susan LaBrecque, originally from the Boston area has a movement background that began in dance. She studied Jazz, Ballet and Modern Dance in Boston and on the West coast, in Northern and Southern California. She was also a part of the Drum and Bugle Corps and Winter Guard activity as a performer, starting at the ripe old age of 6 and finishing up at 21 years old. She continued in the activity as an instructor for several award winning groups around the USA and Canada.  In 1990, she began studying Pilates with her Modern Dance instructor in San Jose, CA. It was a perfect blend of stretching and strengthening. She went on to get her teaching certification in Massachusetts, from Balance Point Pilates in 2000.  Starting Yoga classes in Los Angeles, Susan quickly discovered the benefits of Bikram Yoga. It was an interesting dynamic, the heat and the poses. She felt incredibly long and limber after those classes! She received a Hatha Yoga certification from ISMA/AAAI, in 2001.
She has been teaching Pilates, Yoga and Dance on the MS Gulf Coast for 18 years and continues to attend workshops and classes to gain new insights on teaching techniques. She still takes Ballet class every week and dances/choreographs for a recital, every spring!  Susan received a degree in Theatre Arts from the University of Boston, in 1995. Even today, acting in film and television is a very important part of her life!  She lives with her very supportive husband and pet-crazy daughter! “I’m so thankful for the wonderful instructors that I had as a student, and hope to pass on that same love for exercise and freedom of movement, to many others!”

Matthew Stuart

Small Group / Personal Trainer

My name is Matt!  I pride myself in not only helping my clients reach their goals, but also having them find a passion for health and fitness. My entire life I’ve been involved in sports such as football, baseball, track, basketball, and tennis. I was also college cheerleader at Mississippi State University for 2 years. While I was in college, I loved being active and having a balanced diet. What I noticed, is that living a balanced lifestyle is not always easy for every one. So, I became a personal trainer.  I love seeing my clients progress and notice improvements in their bodies, strength, agility and minds. I’m excited to be apart of the Energy Club. I cannot wait to meet you and begin working toward your personal health and fitness goals.
